Chairmans Blog

Hi All, haven’t blogged for a while, the last few months has seen the weather change for the better, leading to some great days cycling. Mid summer’s day was the solace ride up to Barr Beacon to watch the sunset.

We had 7 new members join in July and the website visiting numbers have increase due to the extra profile of the club on social media, led by Jamie, media Rep.

Last Sunday was the Club’s 100mile ride, with the option of a 54miles instead, due to the impending rain, only a couple of riders completed the 100, everyone else enjoyed the shorter route to Norbury Junction, avoiding most of the rain until the last few miles.

The next Club event, is the Circuits of Celebration on Saturday 12th September, from Burntwood Rugby Club, this is a social and fun event to remember our fallen colleagues, and to raise monies for their chosen charities. Please try and support this event, by attending on the day, anytime, ride a few loops, or only one, and please ask your friends, family and colleagues to support the charities, West Midland Air Ambulance and St Giles Hospice.

Opportunities to ride in the warm and dry, will reduce now as the Summer moves into Autumn.

The Christmas Party will soon be here, Friday 27th November at Pelsall Cricket Club.

Please try to attend the events as these events are for you, and your club.

Regards

David (Chairman)
