Hi All,
Busy week, cycling this week. Tuesday had Riders out on several routes, normal evening routes, plus a few members joined Pete and some fellow cyclist for an easy rider starting from the One man and his Dog PH. I also ran a returned to cycling route just 17 miles at a slow 12.5 avg, I will do the same this Tuesday, and Pete will also run a similar ride, to be announced, Overall 25 riders were out Tuesday. Friday saw 5 members take part in the Aberdovey Ride. Sallyanne organised a longer Social to make use of the good weather. Again Sunday saw 15 members out, on the Classic and Tempo rides. A special mention to Karen and her friend who completed the iconic London to Brighton Event, I've done this twice and I would recommend it for the experience. Wednesday Evening there will be a extra Social ride for the summer Solstice, an evening ride to Barr Beacon, to watch the sunset, several routes will be available so bring a drink, a snack and lights for the ride back.
I've been out with the MTB crew and had an argument with a tree, it won, and I've broken a rib again but on the mend now.
This Week is forecast to be very hot, so if you do venture out, take plenty of water, and use sun block etc.
There have been issues with the Railway Shutting early, so have ended up at The Old House for post ride refreshment. This will be discussed at the committee meeting.
Keep riding, be safe.
David Chairman.
