Wretched weather conditions.

The Relentless Rain: A Cycling Tale

In Walsall, the year began with hopes for sunny days, but soon turned into relentless rain that dampened local cyclists' spirits. As January turned into February, the paths along the Walsall Canal became slick and treacherous. Cyclists struggled against the weather, overshadowing the joy of riding.

Heavy rains transformed cycling trails into muddy quagmires, making road cycling increasingly difficult. The challenging conditions disrupted local events and left many bikes unused.

The Rise of the PSCC Wet Riders

Despite this, a group of determined cyclists formed the "PSCC Wet Riders," encouraging others to embrace the rain. They organized meet-ups to share tips for riding in wet conditions, promoting their motto, "Ride through the rain, feel the gain."

Community Resilience

Ultimately, the relentless rain tested the Walsall cycling community but also ignited resilience and connection, proving their passion for cycling remained strong.
